The idea belongs to the American Mike Marohn, from Washington. According to him, the Zoetrope is a vertical-axis wind turbine made from attached parts that can be built by anyone.
Those from Applied Sciences, where you can learn step-by-step how to build this wind turbine, say that the Zoetrope will be used as an additional source of water heating.
The result is a turbine that can be made at home by anyone with materials found in stores. During tests, the turbine was able to generate 150-200 watts of clean energy.
Applied Sciences has decided to open source the wind turbine so anyone interested can come up with a better design.
